Emails in your first week
The three emails TradeSender sends the owner of a new workspace in its first week, what stops each one, and how to stop them all.
When you create a workspace, TradeSender emails you up to three times in the first week. They go to the email address you signed up with, they come with a plain-text copy for mail apps that want one, and replying to any of them reaches a person at hello@tradesender.co.uk.
| When | Subject | Sent only if |
|---|---|---|
| As soon as your workspace is created | Your TradeSender workspace is ready | Always |
| 9 am on your second day | Your first customer | Your workspace has no customer yet |
| 9 am on your second day, in its place | Your first job | You have a customer but no job yet |
| 9 am on your seventh day | One thing to try this week | Nothing has gone to a customer yet: no quote sent, no invoice issued, no visit finished and no email sent from TradeSender |
The times are in your workspace's time zone. Nothing is sent after the seventh day.
Each email is about one thing you can do in TradeSender, with the steps to do it, and the second and third end with one thing worth knowing. None asks you to pay for anything, and none tells you what you have or have not done in your workspace beyond the condition that sent it.
Send us your customer list instead
The first email invites you to reply with your customers in whatever form you have them: a spreadsheet, an export from Jobber, or a photo of the book. We load them into your workspace within a working day and show you what we found before anything is saved. You can also do this yourself under Settings, Import and export: see Import and export.
Stop them
Every one of the three ends with a line that reads "No more emails like this one" and a link. Open the link and press Stop these emails. The remaining emails are not sent, and the page tells you so. Nothing happens until you press the button, so a link opened by a mail scanner or by accident changes nothing.
Mail apps that offer their own unsubscribe button for an email (Gmail, Apple Mail and others) do the same thing in one press.
Stopping these emails stops only these three. Anything you ask for in TradeSender itself still arrives: a password reset, an invitation to someone you add to your team, or a notice that a Direct Debit failed. Nor does it stop the two emails about your first 30 days of Pro, a week before they end and the morning after, because those tell you your plan is changing: see Your first 30 days.
There is no setting for them in the app, because there is nothing to set: they stop by themselves once you have added a customer or sent something, and after the seventh day they stop in any case.
